Chairman's Message

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Members of the Younger Generation,

Welcome to the Syngman Rhee Scholarship Foundation.

I firmly believe that the greatest asset of any nation is its younger generation. The future of our people and our country depends on the knowledge, principles, and values we pass on to those who follow us.

With this conviction, our Foundation was established to carry forward the founding mission of the Syngman Rhee Memorial Association in Los Angeles, preserve Dr. Syngman Rhee's spirit of independence and the founding ideals of the Republic of Korea, and nurture future leaders who will serve their communities and society.

Our mission goes far beyond providing financial assistance to students.

We seek to help young people understand history, appreciate the values of freedom and responsibility, and develop the sound judgment, character, and leadership needed to become responsible citizens and future leaders.

To fulfill this mission, we aim to provide scholarships to qualified undergraduate and graduate students while supporting historical research, essay and academic competitions, leadership programs, educational seminars, and related activities.

Just as a small seed planted today can grow into a mighty tree, I believe that a single student we support today may one day become an outstanding leader who makes a meaningful contribution to society and the nation.

This belief is at the heart of our Foundation and is the reason I am personally committed to its mission.
